Summary Airline On-Time Performance Query

Contains summary on-time performance data for all airlines having one percent or more of the domestic scheduled passenger revenues. There are over 100 million individual flight records from October 1, 1987 to May 2008 that may be selected and grouped by flight date, carrier, origin, destination, and flight distance.

This query will return summary Comet information for each grouping consisting of "Total Flights", "% Flights On Time", "% Flights Late", "% Flights Canceled", "% Flights Diverted", "Average Departure Delay", and "Average Arrival Delay". For more information about the query's results, see the definitions of the summary fields. General query help is available. In addition, detailed help is provided for a data item when it is displayed as a link.

Depending on the query selection criteria, grouping, and other activity on the system, it could take up to 2 minutes to return the results. A maximum of one years's data can be selected for each request.

Detailed airline on-time performance data can be found at the Airline On-time Performance - Detail query. Quick Airline On-Time Performance by Segment, Airline On-time Performance By Destination Report, and Airline On-time Performance By Carrier Report reports are also available.

General Help

The fields can be used to group the data items to be returned, restrict the number of results to be returned, choose the output format, select the number of results to return, and to reset the fields to their default values. For best results, start with the fewest values and broadest criteria ( for instance "contains" instead of "equals"). If there are too many results, use more values and narrower criteria. Depending on the criteria used, it could take as much as 2 minutes to return the results of the query.
