NTSB Accident Query

The NTSB aviation accident database contains information from 1962 and later about civil aviation accidents and selected X29 incidents within the United States, its territories and possessions, and in international waters. Related accident information can be found at the FAA Accident query.

Many more data items are available for NTSB Accidents than are displayed on this query. See our custom solutions for more details to access the full set of information.

If this is your first time or you are not sure how to generate this NTSB Accident report, help is available. In addition, help is provided for a data item when it is displayed as a link.

Should you require custom reports or queries using this data on a one time or periodic basis or would like to integrate this database into your application, please contact us.

General Help

The fields can be used to choose the data items to be returned, restrict the number of results to be returned, choose the output format, select the number of results to return, and to reset the fields to their default values. For best results, start with the fewest values and broadest criteria ( for instance "contains" instead of "equals"). If there are too many results, use more values and narrower criteria. Depending on the criteria used, it could take as much as 2 minutes to return the results of the query.

Display
Click on the boxes to select or unselect items to be shown on the report.

Output format
The output can be formatted as HTML (default), text, or spreadsheet.
If the spreadsheet option is selected and MS Excel is identified to your browser, Excel will automatically open with the results of the query. If your browser does not know about Excel, a prompt to save the data will be displayed.
