The database is always available with the following exceptions. During these times the system might not be accessible.
Between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM Pacific time each day
Between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM Pacific time each Sunday
An e-mail will be sent to the address of record if there are any changes to this schedule or any planned downtime. A message will be posted here if the database becomes unavailable due to any unscheduled events.
The database contains public views that can be used in queries. Additionally you can create private views for your own use. All view maintenance must be done from the Web site at View Maintenance which will allow creation and deletion of your private views, and display of all public and your private views.
The public views provide an easy method of joining a table with it's associated code tables. They are also used to generate the free Aircraft Search report.
N_NUMBER for the the Master table in the Aircraft subject area
SDRS for the SDR table in the SDR subject area
SDR_CONDITION for the SDR_CONDITIONS table in the SDR subject area
SDR_PROCEDURE for the SDR_PROCEDURES table in the SDR subject area
"Monthly Account Summary" will display your current balance, the current month's detailed charges, previous month's summary charges, and all payments. Date is not required for this option.
"Detailed Charges" will display for the the date entered, each query, the date and time it was executed, the cost of the query, and the SQL submitted. The items are displayed in date descending sequence. Note that for queries made from your application directly into the database, each line item displays the cost of the session, rather than for each query and no SQL is displayed. Both the current CPU limit setting and the billing day of the month are also displayed. Note that the date is required and must be entered as YYYY-MM-DD, for instance 2001-12-03.
All options are based on the billing day of the month.
This will immediately terminate all queries currently running under your user id, whether submitted via the Query Entry page or from your local application. Note that your account will be charged for all resources used up to the time the query(s) are terminated.
You may set the database system to cancel any query that takes more than a certain amount of CPU time. It is recommended that you set this parameter to a reasonable value to prevent run-away queries that are unintentionally entered. These queries could consume an excessive amount of resources, and your account balance. The default setting is 100 seconds, which will cover the great majority of queries.
